Sakis Rouvas is the artist who will represent Greece in Moscow with the dance song 'This Is Our Night.' Greece will be taking part in the 2nd semi-final in Moscow under position #13.
Sakis was born in Corfu and he showed from his early days that he was a star in the making. The Greek star made his debut with a performance at the Thessaloniki Song Festival. Sakis won 1st place with the song 'Parta' and gained a lot of new admirers. Soon after, Sakis went on to release his debut album which was simply titled 'Sakis Rouvas,' which went to number 1 in the charts! Another successful album followed which was titled 'Min Antistekesai.' Sakis then went on to make more albums which proved to be successful and got to work with many famous Greek singers such as Anna Vissi and Helena Paparizou. The Greek superstar then got noticed across the water and went on to become a big success in countries such as Cyprus and Turkey. However, it was in the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest that Sakis gained many more fans across Europe when he participated for Greece with the song 'Shake It,' finishing in 3rd place. Sakis returned to the Eurovision stage two years later, but this time as a host for the contest, which was held in Athens.
Three songs were performed in the Greek national final, but the song 'This Is Our Night' was the favourite and therefore was voted to represent Greece at Eurovision.
Greece is one of the favourites to win this year's Eurovision and with Sakis being seen as a 'super star' across many countries in Europe, it will be wise not to write this entry off.

DIARMUID'S THOUGHTS
A very good song for Greece this year which is performed by one of the countrie's biggest stars, Sakis Rouvas. Although, I feel that this entry is not as good as his 2004 entry which finished in third place 'Shake It.' However, the same was said about Dima Bilan last year, so could this maybe be an omen?
PREDICTION
This is definitely going into the final and will be aiming for the top in May.
