Jóhanna will represent Iceland in the 1st semi-final of the Eurovision with the song 'Is It True?' which is under position #12.

Although born in Copenhagen, Denmark, Jóhanna started singing from a very early age. Aged just two years old, her family moved to Reykjavek in Iceland, before moving to another part of the country named Hafnarfjörður. Having been in a few talent shows, Jóhanna was spotted by one of her teachers and sent to a music school where Jóhanna started off on her journey. Aged just nine years old, the little star released her very first album. This allowed Jóhanna to go from strength to strength, attracting many more fans.

After a series of semi-finals, the Icelandic National Final took place with Jóhanna being the early favourite. She won with almost double the votes of Ingó who finished in 2nd place with the song ' Undir regnbogann.'

Iceland is seen as one of the favourites to definitely qualify for the final and maybe even achieve a Top 10 placing in the final.

No former Eurovision stars took part as a contestant in this year's selection.
