Chiara returns to the Eurovision stage and will represent the small island of Malta for the third time. Her entry is titled 'What If We' and will be sung in the 1st semi-final under position #17.
From Chiara's first Eurovision appearance in 1998 and having come so close to victory, Chiara was hailed a hero. This was where her career started to take off. She has released three albums and has won numerouas awards such as the 'Best Female Artist.' In 2005, Chiara decided she wanted to enter the Eurovision again with the song 'Angel' and finished in second place after Helena Paparizou of Greece. Chiara then became quite popular across Greece and Cyprus making her mark everywhere she goes.
After a lengthy Maltese process, the national final was held where Chiara was placed in the Super Final along with Q and Eleanor Cassar. In the end, it was Chiara who gained the most points overall and earned herself a ticket to Moscow.
This is considered to be Chiara's weakest entry of the three she has had at the Eurovision, but is given an outsidde chance of victory in Moscow.
Former Eurovision participants who made a return were Georgina (ESC 1991, Malta), Miriam Christine (ESC 1996, Malta), Ludwig (ESC 2004, Malta) and Chiara (ESC 1998, 2005, Malta).

Quite a nice song sent from Malta with the fabulous Chiara singing again for the country, which is great to see. Well done to Malta for sending one of their biggest stars to the Eurovision. As we all know, Chiara can sell any song and this cannot be written off by any means.
PREDICTION
This is sailing into the final and definitely entitled to a Top 10 placing.
