After contacting Susanne to do an interview with her, a message was sent back from Susanne giving details on the best way to contact her. A great girl who is very friendly and very down to earth.
1 - Could you introduce yourself and tell us where in Andorra you are living in?
I'm Susanne Georgi and I live in the wonderful mountains of Andorra.
2 - You originally come from Denmark, what part of Denmark are you from?
I lived in Denmark until I was 18 years old. Most of my life I lived in a small town close to the border of Germany. Later on I moved to the capital, Copenhagen.
3 - Could you tell us how your career took off and how you and your sister started the formation of Me & My?
We started at a very young age to sing. We did everything we could to get better at singing and writing songs. By the help of our parents and our dad as our manager we managed to fight our way to the top. It has been a long way and we have worked really hard to get there, but I believe that when you have faith and you keep on fighting you can get ANYTHING in life. No matter who you are or where you come from. I think that we are a real good example of that, cause we were just 2 young girls from a small town and a real poor family.
4 - This year, you are representing Andorra in this year's Eurovision in Moscow. How does it make you feel? Excited?
I'm very excited to be in Moscow this year and even more to represent Andorra. To be accepted as a Dane in a country where the 'people of Andorra' for me is just an amazing feeling. This country has really taken me in as one of their own and I owe it to the Andorran people to give everything I have in me when I get to Moscow!
5 - I guess the next question most people would like to know is why did you choose Andorra this year? We remember you with the great entry 'Two Are Stronger Than One' in the Danish MGP with your sister.
I have only had positive response on my participation and nothing makes me happier than when people stop me in the streets to tell me how much they believe in me. It's so amazing how welcomed and loved I have always felt in this wonderful little country. The fact that they have picked a Danish girl to represent their country just makes me feel even more Andorran. My blood is still Danish and will always be, I have lots of friends and family still in Denmark. I'm a very lucky girl, I feel connected to 2 countries and I know that I have 100% support from both of them in this Eurovision. I couldn't ask for more.
6 - How does your sister feel about your participation in this year's Eurovision?
She is very happy for me and will also come to Moscow for the semi-final and the final. It feels so good to know that she is going to be there, because I normally have her by my side at any big event. This time I'm just going to be without her on stage.
"I'm a very lucky girl, I feel connected to 2 countries."
7 - Could you tell us a little more about your song and what it means to you?
This song was not written for Eurovision. This song was 'born' in a studio in Denmark almost 2 years ago. It was actually picked for a Danish artist who was going to have it on her album, but at the same time it was picked for the Eurovision Final here in Andorra.
8 - Can you reveal to us any clues on what we can expect from you in Moscow in terms of a stage performance?
Top secret - still...
9 - Andorra have been quite unlucky in the Eurovision, having not qualified for the final. Does this put any pressure on you to get a good result for the country?
I think that Andorra has had some great songs in the past. I don't think it's fair that Andorra has never made it to the final yet. For me, the best year was Anonymous, they deserved to get to the final, but that's where the politics issue comes into the picture. I will do everything I can to get Andorra to the final and hope that people will like the song.
10 - Just like Ireland, Andorra is quite a small country. Some people feel that it is hard for the smaller nations to qualify for the final, do you agree with this statement?
I think that in many ways it's so much more difficult to get noticed when you come from a small country like Andorra. I have the faith in, that people will listen to the song and look at it as something different. It's just a simple pop song, but in my heart I think that this little song has got something special. Kind of like 'Fly On The Wings Of Love' with the Olsen Brothers.
11 - Should you take Andorra into their very first Eurovision Final. What would this mean to you and Andorra?
That would be making history. Something I would love to give this beautiful little country who gave me so much, it's just SO amazing how welcome Andorra has always made me feel.
12 - Finally, is there anything you would like to say to your fans?
I would like to thank all the fans I have all over the world. Thank you SO much for all the sweet mails and all the support. You all make me believe that it's possible to get to the top, even though I'm singing for a small country like Andorra. I'm just a little girl, in a small country with big hopes!!!!
